Interesting book. Found the ship names and conversations a bit hard to follow, possibly due to formatting or whatever, but definitely prefer it to Matter or Consider Phlebas. Now, which culture book next?
Continue to enjoy this series. Raylene is not exactly breaking the mould in terms of snarky vampires gathering together a family, but some fairly frank self-examinations about the character's mental illnesses and how to deal with the gender...
So, this book shows Brandon's continued trouble with female characters. While the story is interesting, the world building a bit 'different', and the cultural issues of immigration and difference are handled okay, the 'female preoccupation'...
