Decoding Dragons

My first thought upon hearing about Celestial Steed being available through the Blizzard Store was a little incoherent.

Probably covered it. I was at work, so a certain amount of restraint was involved. Invincible is the true ‘status’ mount of this expansion, and will remain so, but the Celestial Steed definitely looks a lot like the Spectral Tiger. The Spectral Tiger costs an awful lot to obtain these days – it’s not about luck, so the Celestial Steed being directly available (no doubt as a consequence of the changes to the TCG partnership) is only a good thing for the WoW player who likes extra fun things, but doesn’t want to ‘risk’ the randomness of cards, or shell out for extortionate prices elsewhere.

So to make it clear, I think this is a good step. I am also curious about what the pretty graphics will do to outdated graphic cards across the globe, especially if a few of them are grouped in one place. Is this more or less intensive graphically than Invincible or the Rusted Proto-Drake?

Are you excited or underwhelmed by this development. Is it a bad thing to offer mounts via the Blizzard store?
