About

Decoding Dragons is currently the work of a 30-something media professional from the UK.  I tend to go by the moniker of Pewter, and have been writing about MMOs, feminism, and intersectionality since 2010. I’ve also been a class blogger for WoW Insider, and used to talk a LOT about Elemental Shaman in Warcraft under the moniker of ‘The ‘mental Shaman’. I have also played Guild War 2, Rift, SWTOR and The Secret World, and I have pre-ordered Warlords of Draenor, but am unlikely to be playing come launch for various reasons. I currently enjoy co-op games with my partner, board games with a variety of people, and Wildstar.

This blog is an outlet for me to talk about my gaming hobby, my art history studies, and anything else slightly geeky that takes my fancy. Why ‘Decoding Dragons’? I think this June 2014 post describes it pretty well.

I play with data management for living, and study Art History on my commute to work. I also like horse riding, open air swimming, and taking advantage of the many wonderful galleries and museums available to me in London.

It’s easiest to get in touch with me via twitter. If you really need more than 140 characters to ask your question, please use the form below.
